The Chair of the NY Fed Res Bank just resigned because he wants to dispel rumours that he acted unethically. I should point out that he is an ex-ceo of Goldman Sachs.

- When I was a young child I was given a BB gun. I wanted to shoot something so badly. I recall standing under a telephone wire and shooting countlee BB's up at the birds sitting on the wire. Well I finally shot a bird and my initial excitement turned to an overwelming guilt within seconds.

- Jeff- a 3 to 5% yield in the the bond market indicates that you are going to have to go out fairly long in treasuries or reduce quality to non-investment grade. You may find the yield but your risk to capital is way out there. There are huge risks to the U.S.
